Free Courses from the Council

If you wish to book on to a course, please contact Public.Health@merton.gov.uk with names, email addresses, manager’s email and course date as soon as possible. 

Limited spaces are available for these training sessions and are granted on a first come, first serve basis. Manager’s approval will be required prior to booking the course as time away from usual duties is required.

Class-E (ESOL) at William Morris House, Wimbledon

Class E is an ESOL Class for Asylum seekers, Refugees and Migrants.  The class is taught be two experienced volunteer teachers  (LB Meron, retired) who have been holding classes for this group for several years. Classes are held at William Morris House, Wimbledon Broadway every Wednesday Morning from 10.30-to 12.30 during term time.

Are you working in the voluntary sector in Merton? Are you supporting people who have faced abuse and harassment just because of who they are? Worried about the increase in hate crime but not sure how best to tackle it? Then this free training is for you, with Ruth Bashall from Stay Safe East. The training will focus on hate crime against Disabled People as well as other forms of hate crime.
