We have cultivated an extensive network and alumni of past collaborators, members of the community who want to contribute, as well as building a hub of volunteers who are ready and willing to hit the streets and fundraise. This grass-roots method of fundraising and volunteering is testament to our organic bonds interwoven within the community. Such examples of recurring charitable support include the BBC Children in Need Appeal, Shooting Star Chase, and OneLife UK/DanceAid (of which Paul and I are Patrons – in addition to Brooke Kinsella MBE).
We are long standing fundraisers of Children in Need and although this is a national charity, the CiN appeal does fund smaller charities which in turn support local families and children. We are also keen fundraisers and supporters of Shooting Star Chase and have been for a number of years. We also regularly sponsor the Wimbledon Guild Village Fair, Wimbledon Winter Wonderland, and are proud Main Sponsors of the local community football team, AFC Wimbledon. We also sponsor innumerable ad-hoc events hosted by various charities, such as the Ben Kinsella Foundation, Parties in the Park, the Mayor of Merton’s annually designated charities, and local schools, as well as charities and organisations that help the elderly.
Since the inception of Paul Strank Roofing, the business ethos has consisted of providing professional services across South London whilst remaining committed to the community we operate out of.
Our business ethics and location, coupled with this dedication to the community, has provided a vehicle to provide help, support and sustenance to those around us.
Community collaboration is paramount to raising awareness and building momentum; with more and more support garnering from many local businesses willing to provide efforts, resources and donations for a noble cause.
We hope to enthuse as many people as possible into taking a more pro-active approach to becoming involved in, and taking responsibility in their own community, for which we all have a collective interest and a stake in maintaining and promoting – from environmental conditions and living standards through to the development of tomorrow’s workforce and the socio-economic wellbeing of all.
“At Paul Strank Roofing we believe in good business and good community, for which we believe the two to be wholly complementary and inextricable.”
