Thanks to a grant from the Wimbledon Foundation’s Get Set, Get Active Fund, BAME VOICE will be able to deliver a series of twelve free drumming sessions aimed at residents aged 50 + living in East Merton & Central Tooting areas.
Drums have been used in every culture since ancient times for many purposes, including being used as a form of therapy, cardio (heart) workout, Modern research shows that drumming has many positive effects on your health. The sessions will include advice on your physical and mental health, opportunities for you to meet friends, feel less lonely, reduce stress as well as teach you a new skill.
Sessions start from Wednesday 14th August to 16th October 10.00am – 1.00 pm at :
Blessed House, 328 London Road, Cricket Green, CR4 3ND (the small bungalow next door to Citizen’s Advice Bureau)
