Support for Young People

We are delighted to share a new service from StudentSpectra who are providing support to young people (13-18) who identify as LGBTQI+ or are questioning their gender or sexuality - providing information around mental wellbeing, relationships, and sexual health.

Counselling support is available for young people who feel they would benefit from one-to-one support, and who find it difficult to access counselling from non-LGBTQI+ agencies. At present counselling sessions are held remotely, either via phone or video call sessions.

Their LGBTQI+ Youth Group (Pyramid) offers a space to socialise with other LGBTQI+ peers. Sessions are currently being held via Zoom twice a week (Mondays and Fridays.) At each session, members of StudentSpectra staff will facilitate discussion and will be on hand to provide support and signposting to members.

Check out the promotional resources attached below if you wish to signpost your service users to the service.
