Merton Giving announces its first grant fund awards

The Merton Giving Grant Fund seeks to address the needs of Merton residents, by raising and distributing monies to Merton based local charities and not- for profit organisations providing services and activities that meet identified local priorities.  It is a new fund and the priorities for this, the first, round of funding were: Developing Our Future Generations, Building Healthier Communities and/or Connecting Communities.

The Fund panel met recently to decide on the distribution of the inaugural Merton Giving Grant Fund.  Thirty two local organisations submitted applications.  The following 20 organisations have been successful in sharing the £20,000 grant pot:

The next round of the fund will open for submission of applications in the autumn.
