Waitrose and John Lewis have joined forces for their Christmas campaign called Give a Little Love. The campaign aims to encourage one small act of kindness that can spark a heartfelt chain reaction showing how powerful giving a little love can really be.
All profits from the Give a Little Love campaign will be split equally between the two charities (FareShare and Home-Start) and shops will work with their local charity branches to give help where it's needed in their communities. This could be through direct funds, food and stock donations, volunteering, emotional support or practical advice.
FareShare redistributes surplus food from the food industry to charities and community groups across the UK – creating almost a million meals every week for vulnerable people.
Home-Start provides trained volunteers to support families with young children through challenging times – because childhood can’t wait.
