The Wandle Valley Regional Park Trust (WVRPT) was established in 2013 to provide the vision, leadership, co-ordination and resources to create a new regional park along the River Wandle in South London over the next ten years.
The Get Active Wandle Valley programme is funded through the Sport England Community Sport Activation Fund. This unique project has brought together partners from four local authority areas as well as the National Trust, with representation from both leisure and public health sectors to deliver a 3-year programme focusing on parks and public health from January 2016 – December 2018.
Our exciting venture represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, results-driven Project Co-ordinator to lead delivery of our Get Active Wandle Valley programme for the remainder of the project's life.
You will be based in the beautiful Morden Hall Park, and will join the WVRPT at a pivotal moment in its development, having recently been granted development funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. You will understand the connection between active lifestyles and the use and access to greenspace and have insight into social prescribing and health benefits of green Infrastructure. You will lead an established programme of activities, utilise the final year of our TFL bike grant programme, work with our committed team of Activators and shape the project for the future to make your professional mark.
