We are delighted to be working in partnership to host two free online workshops for organsations in Merton.
Together with Team London, Getting on Board and Reach – and supported by Mayor of London - we bring you Trustee Recruitment: Getting it Right and an Introduction to Trusteeship. Please see workshop details below with a link to book your place.
Trustee Recruitment: Getting it Right | 22nd September | 2pm – 3:30pm
Delivered by experts in trustee recruitment, Getting on Board, will help you to identify what skills and life experience are missing from your Board and how to address these gaps with strategic recruitment. You will leave with a clear idea of the type of trustees you need, a draft advert, a list of free places to advertise, and a plan to ensure that new trustees hit the ground running.
The workshop is open to both current trustees and senior staff. It would be helpful if you have Board approval to recruit new trustee(s) before you attend the workshop and be prepared to start recruitment shortly after the session.
Introduction to Trusteeship | 7th October | 5:30pm - 7pm
Becoming a trustee is a great way to use your skills and experience to support a charity. You’ll have a key role in the survival and sustainability of a great cause. Pressures on charities to deliver vital services increase every year, so an effective board of trustees has become even more important.
The right mix of skills, knowledge and lived experience makes a strong and representative board. Whether you have professional experience to share, or an interest or personal knowledge of a certain cause, you will make a real impact in this vital and rewarding volunteer role.
Want to find out more? Come along to this introductory session delivered by experts in the sector, Reach Volunteering, and learn more about what being a trustee entails, hear about the benefits and rewards and find out how best to search for a role that is right for you.
