Calling all dancers and performers!

Have you ever wanted to perform and be part of a very high profile London event but didn't know how to get involved? Well now's your chance to be part of something very special indeed!!

The London Borough of Merton is looking to put together a troop of dancer performers to take part in their entry in London’s amazing New Year day parade celebrations! Up to one million people flock to the streets of the central London parade route and 200 million watch world wide as this event takes centre stage on 1st January every year.

It's truly a spectacular event and one you could be right in the heart of!! For more than 10 years now Merton has entered the parade, winning the best entry and 1,000’s of pounds for charities many times along the way.

This year the Council want to go all out again as they engage with the Parades theme of "Lights Camera Action" (details of design top secret at the moment!) The designers have come up with a 'winning' contending entry so all they need now is a dancing cast to add to the visual spectacle.

If you’re over 16, your reliable, you can dance and are free for a couple of rehearsals and of course on New Years day itself this could be the perfect way to start your New Year.

This is for volunteers only, they provide costumes, transport and breakfast on the day but best of all, if you've not done anything like this before you'll experience a day that is out of this world!
