On Sunday 30th July, Team Merton Volunteers and Merton Police Cadets were in action as ‘Veloteers’ in Wimbledon Town and Village for the fifth Prudential Ride London. The Good Grief Trust contacted MVSC last week as they are desperately seeking volunteers to help make up comfort gift packs for survivors affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. At present, there are 2,000 bags of donations awaiting distribution. If you are able to assist for a few hours, please click here to sign up to help.

On Sunday 30th July the fifth Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. On Thursday 15th June, a warm and breezy evening, the Merton Partnership held its annual Volunteer Awards at Chak89 in Mitcham. This was a positive and lively event, which recognised and acknowledged the invaluable contribution of volunteers in the borough.
