Merton Mencap are currently recruiting volunteers to join them on their exciting range of projects available for children, young people and adults with a learning disability. They try to match people skills to the best volunteering opportunity for them. Most of their vacancies are either Project Volunteers or Fundraising Volunteers. Every year the Daily Mirror hosts a ‘Top of the Plots’ competition, judged by gardening columnist Diarmuid Gavin. The results of this year’s gardening competition have been announced and thanks to the efforts of local volunteer, Tony Cullen, Wimbledon Chase Primary School was declared the overall winner.
