As we continue to celebrate Student Volunteering Week – we take this opportunity to shine a light on 8th Wimbledon Scout Group. Based in Wimbledon, the 8th Wimbledon has a strong history (over 100 years old!). They have a thriving Beaver Colony (6-8 years), Cub Scout Pack (8-10½ years) and Scout Troop (10½-14 years) and provide fun activities, adventure and challenge for young people aged 6-14. The overall purpose of the Community Champion role is to assist in securing the key objectives of Merton Diabetes Programme, Public Health Merton and Diabetes UK.  You will be raising awareness of Diabetes, how it can be prevented and for those with diabetes, how best to manage their condition to secure better health outcomes.
