Adrianna Jones - Introducing Myself

Hi my name is Adrianna Jones and I joined the Merton Voluntary Service Council team in July as the new Social Prescribing Project Coordinator.  I am based at five local GP practices in East Merton.  After a successful pilot, MVSC fortunately recruited me to their team! Before this new role, I was mainly based in and around West London and have worked for non-profit organisations within mental health services and NHS primary care.
Launch event for Merton Council funding programme

Join us at the next INVOLVE meeting at Vestry Hall on 17th July where Merton Council and partners will be launching the consultation on priorities for the Strategic Partner grants programme. The scope of the programme has expanded and the Council will be looking to fund voluntary sector organisations delivering services in the following areas: information and advice provision, infrastructure support for the voluntary sector, wellbeing services, carers support services, and Healthwatch.

I will stick my neck out and still say Happy New Year. I wish you a year full of opportunities for your organisations and beneficiaries. At MVSC, we started the year with a new Chair, Sarah Wilson, who took over the reins after Lola stepped down at the AGM. Sarah has been a Trustee and Treasurer for many years. She was Head of Finance at Wimbledon Guild and also previously served as Chair of Volunteer Centre Merton.
