I will stick my neck out and still say Happy New Year. I wish you a year full of opportunities for your organisations and beneficiaries. At MVSC, we started the year with a new Chair, Sarah Wilson, who took over the reins after Lola stepped down at the AGM. Sarah has been a Trustee and Treasurer for many years. She was Head of Finance at Wimbledon Guild and also previously served as Chair of Volunteer Centre Merton.

Cupcake Day raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society

On 15th June we hosted a party for Cupcake Day, raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society. Colleagues from Vestry Hall donated yummy cupcakes and joined us for a tea party.
The Social Prescribing Project saw its 100th new patient last week

To date I have seen 101 new patients and 27 patients for a follow up visit. The project has referred or signposted people to 28 local agencies.

Local Merton Street Pastor Volunteers were amongst a contingent of specially trained Street Pastors( known as Response Pastors), were out offering a listening ear to Londoners and members of the public, following the atrocities that occurred in the London Bridge area.
