As the borough’s leading environmental charity, Sustainable Merton has joined the Big Give Christmas Challenge - the UK’s largest match funding campaign - to double donations from residents and businesses supporting Merton’s first Community Fridge. Off the Record (OTR) provides free, independent and professional counselling for 14 – 25 year olds. Their offices will be closed over the Christmas period with their last sessions taking place on 24th December and restarting in the new year on 2nd January. The Mayor of London EURO 2020 Grants Programme is providing grants between £500 and £10,000 to innovative projects that bring communities together, tackle prejudices, improve health and break down barriers. To mark its fifth anniversary and to capitalise on the attention garnered by No.1 Court’s new roof, the Wimbledon Foundation partnered with the London Community Foundation to create a new fund to help combat homelessness. As part of Merton's Trustees’ week, which ran from 4th to 8th November, MVSC, working with partners, ran a competetion to celebrate the extraordinary contribution of the borough's trustees.
