Helping Hands Volunteer

An opportunity for volunteers to befriend individuals and families who have experienced domestic abuse. Building a trusting relationship, you will support them to make links within the wider community, to access local services and to attend a variety of appointments.

Full training and ongoing support is provided. During the training it will be a necessary requirement for you to complete an Enhanced Child and Adult workforce DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) and 2 references will be sought.  Referees must have known the volunteer for 2 years or longer and non-family members.

As a local Mitcham charity we are looking for local volunteers from Merton and Sutton to support our service users. Once the training has been completed we ask for a minimum of 2 hours volunteering per week. Our project runs Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm.
