Strategic Partner Programme - Consultation

Merton Council and partners have launched the formal consultation on the draft funding prospectus for the Strategic Partner Programme 2019-21.  The scope of the programme has expanded and the Council will be looking to fund voluntary sector organisations delivering services in the following areas: information and advice provision, infrastructure support for the voluntary sector, wellbeing services, carers support services, and Healthwatch.

Lawrence Atwell’s Charity

The grant making trust Lawrence Atwell’s Charity has launched a new Charities Programme, supporting NEET young people in London and Kent into employment.

 

Grants of up to £10,000 per-annum are available to charities running projects that support disadvantaged young people, to help them move into meaningful work. Awards for three years of funding are open to consideration.

The Kingston Burrowes Community Fund

To celebrate Kingston Burrowes turning 10 we have decided to thank the local Kingston and Merton communities that have helped us grow by launching a new community fund.

From July 2018 local community groups will be able to apply for a share of the fund, we are giving away up to £250 per project. 4 grants will be offered in total, two being awarded to projects in Merton and two in Kingston.

SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centres from The FA

SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centres from The FA will provide girls aged 5-11 with regular opportunities to play football. The initiative offers organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls. More than 200 clubs were piloted across England in 2017 and the scheme is now being extended to more than 900 centres with 26,000 participants across the country.
