Morden Hall Park is a tranquil former deer park and an oasis in the outskirts of London. It is at the heart of the community, offering a variety of family-friendly activities, concerts and workshops. This 125 acre urban green space is situated in the London Borough of Merton in the heart of South West London and encompasses open parkland, hay meadows, woodland, and wetlands. The River Wandle flows through the park in a series of natural and man-made channels. Morden Park Choral Society has been performing for over 70 years and we are looking for new people who are enthusiastic and willing to learn. Rehearsals take place at St John the Divine Church on Monday evenings from 8 - 10 PM, with vacancies in all parts. Our activities are challenging, enjoyable and rewarding, with a programme of four concerts a year ranging from oratorio to songs from the shows and including operetta, carols and a variety of four-part song arrangements. MVSC is the primary organisation in the borough for the promotion of volunteering and recruitment of volunteers. Recruits and places volunteers of all ages and backgrounds with local projects, supports and encourages organisations to involve volunteers in their work and finds innovative ways for local people to volunteer. The Supported programme offers ongoing support to volunteers with additional support needs, including people with physical, sensory and/or learning disabilities and those with mental health issues.
