Playfest 2015 is a festival of new writing which is a central part of Attic's work. We commission playwrights and work with them from first draft to full production.
A maximum of four new plays by both established and emerging playwrights are chosen. The staged readings are then presented over two evenings in October. We see Playfest as an invaluable opportunity for Attic to develop new relationships with writers, as well as providing writers with the chance to try out new work in front of an audience. In previous years we have included the work of established playwrights alongside the plays of writers who have never seen their work on stage before and next year will be mounting a full scale production in a central London venue of 'A Certain Minor Light' by Tabitha Mortiboy which originated as a short play at Playfest in 2012 .
