A theory of change can help you plan new work, communicate the purpose of what you do to trustees, funders, donors and users, and decide what information to collect for evaluation. On this course you will learn about what theory of change is and how you can develop one to suit your organisation’s needs. Working with others, you’ll start building your own theory of change for a project, programme or your organisation. The course will also explore how theory of change can be used to develop your evaluation plans.
By the end of the course you will have:
- Improved understanding of what a ‘theory of change’ is and how it can be used for planning and evaluation
- Increased knowledge of how to develop a theory of change
- Increased confidence and skills to develop their own theory of change.
