Snap snap snap!

We were joined by 17 year old Terence for a week. Find out about his week with us and how he got on!...

I recently volunteered to use my skills in photography to help various charities throughout Merton. The past week has been extremely busy but at the same time I get to do something which I enjoy which is taking photographs.

For me photography is a fun hobby which I do to unwind. Having volunteered for a job as a photographer for these charities is to me an extension of my hobby while also helping charities. Although it can have a large workload and by the end of the day I would be exhausted it’s very enjoyable from my standpoint especially when you’re passionate about something. My advice to many readers is that you should try get experience in the thing that you want to have in your future or maybe just something you’re interested in because the experience of being in a work place and feeling the atmosphere for yourself is extremely valuable.

Additionally this whole experience will help me build a portfolio which could help me apply for jobs in the future as I will have experience in the job sector I want to be in. As well as this the experience also gave me a chance to practice much more with my camera so I’m a lot more experienced with it than I was beforehand.

Here are some of the snaps he took...
