The Admiral Scaffolding Group Ltd, one of the largest employers in Merton, decided to found The Admiral Trust in early 2012. The company had always been involved with the community, but they wanted to do more. Within one year The Trust has been actively supporting the local community in many ways, but particular the Mayor of Merton’s Charity, with sponsorship and donations they have helped the Mayor achieving his goal to provide a much needed disability bus.
Another project supported by The Trust, “Teacher of the Year” award at the Merton Civic Awards, the winner of which will be announced in April.
The Trust is currently developing a strategy to launch, “Improving the quality of life of local people with a disability” campaign. This is an extremely large and exciting proposition but is in keeping with their desire to help raise awareness in all manner of local social issues.
“By getting involved in the community we feel that it has helped raise the company’s profile. Indeed, this was reflected at the Merton Business Awards, where the company won Best Business, Best Green Business and Best Training and Development. Not bad for a scaffolding company! “
