Awards and quality standards

MVSC has achieved a number of awards and quality standards which reflect the high quality of its work. Prominent among these are:

Navca Quality Award

NAVCA quality award
To achieve a NAVCA quality award, a NAVCA member will undergo a rigorous assessment process to test that it is indeed delivering quality services to its local voluntary and community sector. The NAVCA approved award is assessed against the NAVCA Performance Standards and once awarded, the Quality Award is valid for three years.

 Carbon Smart Silver

Carbon Smart silver certified
The Carbon Smart awards recognise work in reducing carbon footprint and improving environmental performance through clear, practical actions that are adapted to the business, staff and resources.

Investing in Volunteers (IiV) is the UK quality standard for good practice in volunteer management. We have been assessed by Investing in Volunteers, owned by the UK Volunteering Forum, and been awarded accreditation to show that we meet its standards.

London Youth Quality Mark
London Youth Quality Mark is awarded by London Youth, a network of 400 youth organisations. The quality mark helps organisations provide the highest standards of service and activities that are needed and wanted by young people in our community.

Positive About Disability
The Positive about Disability mark is awarded by Jobcentre Plus to employers who make five commitments regarding recruitment, training, retention, consultation and disability awareness and who review their commitments every year and plan ways to improve on achievements.

Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation
Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation is the quality mark for Volunteer Centres (and other organisations providing Volunteer Centre functions). Accreditation provides assurance to commissioners and funders, as well as members of the public and volunteer involving organisations, that the Volunteer Centre is providing a high quality and effective service.

The Healthy Workplace Charter
The Healthy Workplace Charter is the first pan-London framework that supports and recognises investment in staff health and wellbeing, partnering local public health resource with employers.  MVSC is one of over fifty organisations that have met the standards to date.
