MVSC AGM, Save the Date!
Our AGM is taking place on Tuesday 23rd October 2017, 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Vestry Hall.
Hannah Doody, Merton Council’s Director of Community and Housing, will give the Keynote Speech.
The NHS in Surrey Downs, Sutton and Merton is looking at the challenges faced by Epsom and St Helier hospitals. They want to make sure the hospitals can continue to deliver high quality, safe and sustainable services for local people in the years ahead. 
They have identified some potential solutions that they want to discuss with the communities in these areas.
One You Merton’s Know Your Number campaign’s stations will be open to the public for checking blood pressure as follow:
10th & 13th September – at Merton Civic reception area.
11th & 14th September – at Mitcham Fire brigade Station, Community Room.
The Local Government Association (LGA) have launched a public consultation and accompanying Green Paper on the future of adult social care.  The consultation is seeking views on future funding options for adult care recipients and unpaid carers.  NAVCA analysis suggests the green paper is highly interesting and points out the important role that voluntary organisations play in this field.
